Beer Tasting
Can be a fun Experience
Along with our in-house beer sommeliers we have created a great beer tasting experience for you whether you are a beginner or an expert! We also offer two official beer tasting events during the year: Beer & Song I focuses upon English guest beers to celebrate St. George `s day in April and Beer & Song II, in September, focuses upon Anglo-styled guest beers.

Order a tasting board at the bar.
2.
You will receive a board with 5x1 dl of our «standard selection» (beers on tap), a guideline how to taste beer, product info, and a note paper for your individual notes.
3.
If you would like to swap one beer with another (on tap), just tell the barcrew.
4.
You pay CHF 11.50 for the board. If you wish to have an additional beer, we charge CHF 2.000 extra per dl, a maximum of two additional.

Guinness
Is one of the most successful beer brands worldwide. Guinness originated in the brewery of Arthur Guinness (1725-1803) at St. Jame's Gate, Dublin. Guinness stout is made from water, barely, roast malt extract, hops, and brewer's yeast. A portion of the barley is roasted to give Guinness its dark colour and characteristic taste.
Fuller`s London Pride
Fuller's London Pride is one of the UK's leading premium ales. An intrinsic part of London , London Pride has been brewed by the banks of the Thames from the very first brew. Fuller's London Pride is an award-winning classic. A rich, smooth and wonderfully balanced beer, its distinctive malty base is complemented by a well-developed hop character, from adding Target, Challenger and Northdown varieties to the brew.
Hop House 13 Lager
Hop House 13 is a golden amber craft lager brewed by Guinness at the St. Jame`s Gate brewery. This double hopped lager is full flavoured, hoppy, citrusy on the nose, crisp and refreshing.
Magners Cider
Magners Irish Cider is Ireland's biggest purchaser od Irish apples. 17 varieties of apple are grown in the Magners' Orchards in Clonmel and are used to make the famous Magners brand. The cider is fermented in the Vat House at Dowd's Lane, between 18 degrees and 24 degrees Celsius, maturing for a few months with samples drawn off and laboratory tested for purity and alcohol content. they are then put through several filtering processes. Other ciders are pasteurised as opposed to using a filtering process, and do not ferment in oak matured vats, which adds significantly to the blend.
Piwi`s Red Ale
Our very own house brand, brewed by an esteemed award winning brewery! An American Red ale (@5.4%) with a pronounced malty aroma. It is an elegant beer; subtly hopped with American Cascade hops.
- Eye: Crystal clear, copper red
- Nose: Fine hoppy note, caramel plays around with dried fruit.
- Palate: Malty aroma, mild with a balanced body.
- IBU: 20
Carlsberg
With its golden colour and delicate smell of hops and malt, Carlsberg is the quintessential pilsner beer. Carlsberg is medium-bodied, dry and well-proportioned with a characteristic hop bitterness that supports its fine structure. Each ingredient in a Carlsberg is carefully selected and must live up to a strict quality code. Specially chosen hops from unpollenated female hop flowers, malt from lightly roasted spring barley, and Carslberg's famous yeast, Saccharomyces carlsbergensis, are brewed with pure water to create what is 'Probably the best beer in the world'.
